But over time, the disease robs you of your memory, especially recent memories. OSIA has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years for research.
CANCER is a disease involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. We have all known someone that has suffered with cancer
COOLEY'S ANEMIA or THALASSEMIA is a fatal genetic blood disorder involving less than normal amounts of an oxygen- carrying protein. It affects people of Mediterranean descent
AUTISM is a mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, 2025
Our scholarship recipients joined us for the lodge Christmas celebration this past December 2024. SeanPaul DeCoster (2021) and Riley Carson DeCoster (2022) both graduates of Harmony High School, in Osceola County. Brother and sister are presently attending Florida State University with SeanPaul soon to graduate with his degree in Accounting. Riley will follow with a degree in Criminology. Our best wishes to both of our recipients and their parents, lodge members, Sean and Cindy DeCoster.
The faculty at Osceola High School were honored with a $150 check in recognition of their dedication and hard work throughout the academic year. Accepting the check on the left is Principal Beth Kennedy, alongside esteemed Sons & Daughters of Italy member and Osceola High math teacher, Samantha Lynch. This generous gift serves as a token of appreciation for the educators who tirelessly prepare students for college, life, and beyond. Congratulations to the entire staff on another successful year of shaping young minds and fostering a bright future for our youth!
The Osceola County Sons and Daughters of Italy continue their mission of giving back by donating Starbucks gift cards to the dedicated educators at Harmony Community School, in celebration of Teachers Appreciation Week.
